Our Journey. Their Pool of Knowledge.
In June 2026, our safari group traveled across Zimbabwe. While the landscapes of Victoria Falls were breathtaking, it was the warmth and bright intellect of the children at Chamabondo Primary School that captured our hearts.

The Meaning of Chamabondo
In the local Nambya language, Chamabondo translates to a deep, abundant "pool of knowledge." Today, Chamabondo serves over 1,500 incredible students. Yet, despite their brilliant young minds, these children face a staggering digital divide. In our modern world, computer literacy is a basic necessity, but these classrooms completely lack access to technology.

The Chamabondo Odyssey
We couldn't just journey home and forget them. As a community of traveling companions, we legally incorporated the Victoria Falls Education Fund (VFEF). Our mission is to launch The Chamabondo Odyssey—a grassroots initiative dedicated to providing computers, digital literacy, and continung this school's journey into a thriving pool of knowledge.

The Meaning Behind Our Logo
Our logo unites two powerful images - the compass rose and the ripples of an oasis - to reflect our mission and connection to Zimbabwe.
  • The Compass Point: Represents our roots as a traveler-led initiative. The downward needle guides global resources directly to the students who need them most.
  • The Ripples of Chamabondo: Honors the local name Chamabondo, a cultural metaphor for a deep "pool of knowledge".
  • The Impact: Where the needle meets the water symbolizes the exact moment opportunity unlocks a student’s potential—creating an expanding ripple effect of lifelong success throughout the entire community.

Victoria Falls Education Foundation Inc., doing business as (DBA) Victoria Falls Education Fund, is a Georgia non-profit organization. We are a newly formed grassroots organization pursuing formal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Have questions about our upcoming projects or want to get involved?
