A traveler-led initiative by the Victoria Falls Education Foundation Inc. bringing 21st-century digital literacy, computers, and lifelong opportunity to primary students in Zimbabwe.

In June 2026, our safari group traveled across Zimbabwe. While the landscapes of Victoria Falls were breathtaking, it was the warmth and bright intellect of the children at Chamabondo Primary School that captured our hearts.

In the local Nambya language, Chamabondo means "a pool of eels"—a metaphor for a deep, abundant pool of knowledge. Today, Chamabondo serves over 1,500 students. Yet, despite their brilliant young minds, these children face a staggering digital divide. In our modern, interconnected world, computer literacy is essential, but these classrooms completely lack modern technology.

We couldn't just journey home and forget them. As a community of traveling companions, we legally incorporated Victoria Falls Education Foundation Inc. (VFEF) to launch The Chamabondo Odyssey—a grassroots initiative dedicated to feeding this pool of knowledge.
Our Goal
Help Us Bridge the Digital Divide at Chamabondo. We are partnering with an established technology supplier to source, and ship securely durable Chromebooks to Chamabondo's computer classrooms. Because we operate entirely as volunteers, 100% of all funds raised go straight toward buying laptops!

(VFEF) operates with zero overhead or administrative deduction. 100% of our time is completely donated, and every operational cost including state incorporation fees, website hosting, and custom URL management is paid for out of our own pockets as founders. When you make a contribution to The Chamabondo Odyssey, Every single dollar you donate goes directly toward a Chromebook for the students at Chamabondo Primary School.

Jan is a retired marketing executive with over 35 years of industry experience. Passionate about empowering communities, she channels her strategic branding and communications expertise to lead outreach efforts for the foundation.

Treasurer & Corporate Secretary

Stephen is a retired logistic executive and manages the foundation's financial health, budgeting, and legal compliance. He ensures total transparency, guaranteeing that 100% of donor funds directly purchase and secure classroom technology.

Keith Martyn

Community Outreach Officer

Based locally, Keith coordinates our operations directly with the faculty and community advocates in Zimbabwe. His dedication ensures we are working with the right people on the ground.

Izzy Potter

Social Media Director

Izzy directs our global digital storytelling, brand strategy, and creative content campaigns. She leverages modern multimedia platforms to drive international engagement, amplify student impact stories, and showcase real-time project milestones on the ground in Zimbabwe.
